Many years ago I got a little (ahem) overly enthusiastic giving my husband head, and I inadvertently tore his frenluum. This had happened before and it always healed without incident, but this time it was a really bad tear. :( We ended up going to a urologist, who said it would heal on its own but would take time. It did finally heal, but afterward he was left with a skin tag on the underside of his penis (see image below). Most of the time the skin tag doesn't bother him, but lately it seems to be more easily irritated, especially when I give him blowjobs. Obviously that area gets a lot of attention, so the back and forth friction is pretty much unavoidable when I'm pleasuring him.

We've reached a point where we both feel like it's time to have the skin tag removed. Just wondering if any of you guys have had this problem before, and if so, how you dealt with it. I'd prefer to find a safe, relatively painless, over-the-counter option to remove the skin tag. I've done some online searching but would like to hear from guys who've had similar experiences.

this is the context to consider also the circumcision, cause the tag removal will require an anaesthetic shot, so I think you could do both things together; the foreskin rim is also very unconfortable now.

Considering the sensitive location, I wouldn't suggest an OTC method.

I'm not sure what method a doc would choose to use, either; cut & stitch, laser, cauerization needle, or liquid nitrogen freeze.

There is a device I seen being sold on Amazon, to ablate Pearly Penile Papules. It's basically a small electro-cauterization needle that can be used to remove bumps & tags. It comes with a numbing gel & instructions.
I would venture to guess that it'd be possible to use that to "fix" the issue, safely.

The answer is an easy fix. Tie a very tough piece of cotton round the tag, like a noose, pull it tight, then leave it for about a week taking great care not to dislodge it. The skin tag will just fall off leaving no scar once the little piece of skin dies. Harmless..

I would be too afraid of necrosis spreading, to do that, personally

Thanks. Strangely enough I didn't get any notification of replies to my thread...I just happened to see your response.

We've had success using tea tree oil to remove other skin tags. The hubby has used tea tree oil for a while on the tag, but not consistently. I'm not too keen on purchasing something to prick, burn, or cut him, especially on such a sensitive area. If we decide to go that route, I think the best bet is to go to a urologist, who would likely do the things you mention, but at least it would be in a doctor's office setting.

Thanks for your suggestion. If we were talking about another area of his body, I would consider this. But I think it would be extremely difficult to keep something like this in place on his frenulum, not to mention pretty uncomfortable for him.

I have a small tag from when I tied my frenulum. I’m not too worried about it at all

Checking in to see how you resolved the skin tag issue.
My apologies. Somehow I missed your comment and wasn't notified.

Unfortunately there's been no resolution. For a while he applied tea tree oil to the skin tag consistently for several weeks, but he said it started giving him a burning sensation, so he stopped using it. I then suggested that we return to a urologist and request to have the skin tag surgically removed, but he flatly refused to consider this and would rather leave it as is. I've not pressed the matter with him any further, although I would still like to find some way to safely remove it, if for nothing else for aesthetic reasons.

I'm still open to suggestions.

find a doctor that will help you with the situation. I peronally would leave it if it does not bother you before my circumcision I tore mine and after the circumcision the doctor left it as it was so I have a tag too but it does not bother me when I use my penis. it may have a nerve ending there causing the discomfort a good urologist will help you.

here is a pic of mine after the circumcision

Thanks for commenting. You look good. Your tag is barely visible in the photo. His tag is a little larger and further down on his shaft. It doesn't seem to bother him during sex anymore, so for now we're leaving it as is, although down the road I may revisit the idea of another trip to the urologist to consider removing it.

I am circumcised but I had a little tag like that for years (smaller than that).

It eventually fell off on its own. It took many years of my husband (annoyingly) playing with it. I think I had it for 20 years before it fell off. Could be mine was of a different origin idk. Mine didnt bother me
Good luck!

Wow...20 years? That's a long time! Maybe I should try your husband's approach. I'm down there playing all the time but not usually with the tag! :kissing_heart:

Maybe it was less than that idk. I know I had it before I met him and I know it fell off maybe 5 or 7 years after we started dating.

Why don't you go to a dermatologist? Maybe they can remove it for him?

The last time I broached the subject with him he reacted pretty strongly about it, so I haven't mentioned it in a long time. If it ever does start irritating him again, though, I'll definitely push for him to have it removed. I think a dermatologist or urologist could do it pretty quickly and safely. The most challenging aspect from that will be leaving it alone to heal. Even after almost three decades together, we still go at it like rabbits. :p
