In regards to the comment about Spence being filmed taking money...yes that did happen. But there is another side of the story. Spence claimed he was taking what was owed to him because Doug did not pay for him for work performed. And let's just say, Spence wasn't the only person that claimed that. There were numerous complaints from numerous people that Doug did not pay models for scenes, which people thought was baffling since the company was making money hand over fist. Among the other things that were alleged:
-Doug used most of the profits to put up his nose.
-Doug was addicted to drugs and unprotected sex off Craigslist hookups (not hard to believe if you've ever seen Doug in scenes)
-Doug was well known for his temper tantrums and threatened to fire everyone and he believed he was the only reason ASG succeeded.
-Doug was well known for promising things and not delivering (as a former frequent subscriber, I know this is true).
-He forced a model to get on her knees to beg for money that he owed her.
-His ex-partner Jay also suggested he was violent and had uncontrollable anger.
Doug has since disavowed his porn days and comes across as "holier-than-thou" and is supposedly straight.
