@DiamondJoe has twice not understood the concept of this thread :eyes:;)o_O

I have to go to Home Depot to return THREE items that will likely total a whopping $15 or so. Almost not worth my time. Maybe I will grab some poke on the way back!

There are many ways of staying off subject, you can jarringly say something as if you never heard one iota of what the previous person said, or you can take what they said and steer the conversation to make it all about you or something that interests you more than the original topic, many , many ways, so exciting.

I interpreted the theme of this thread was that each post should be vastly different from the previous post. So if someone talks about beer, the next post should be whatever the hell the furthest thing from beer can be. The political system of Denmark for example. Or something about the pope. I dont know. Get my drift now?

Neither of these 2 are my favorite politicians I more support Bernie or Jill Stein, but I still found this really funny, lol, it's probably really old but it was new to me.

Well, as with so many things in life, it's a matter of perspective. Sometimes the journey is more important than the destination, sometimes you hear the that delightful sound - a willowy whine - that occurs when rules are bent but not yet broken, and sometimes it's good to give a nod to some preceding bon mot :)

Something interesting I found on my travels, since thankfully flattened...

Where is this ecosocialist echo- chamber? I for one , would love to know. Somewhere over the rainbow, after fairyland, above seventh-heaven, and overlooking Valhalla, perhaps??

The 25 Greatest Art Heists of All Time – ARTnews.com

In 1473, Polish pirates boarded a ship that was en route to Florence. They walked away with Hans Memling’s The Last Judgement (1467–71), an intricately rendered triptych envisioning the second coming of Christ, and hauled it back to their homeland, in what is now considered the first recorded art heist. The painting today resides at the National Museum in Gdańsk, Poland, and Italians have been seeking its recovery ever since.

The Memling heist is an example of how significantly a theft can transform an artwork’s history forever—and it is hardly the only piece throughout history to have been permanently altered in this way. Although technology has gotten more sophisticated and the means by which heists are committed have changed, burglaries of the world’s greatest artworks continue to be executed often, effectively adding new and bizarre chapters to the annals of art history in the process.

The following list surveys the 25 greatest art heists of all time. They have concerned artworks from throughout art history, from centuries-old archaeological objects to contemporary masterworks, and they have involved a range of shadowy figures, from amateurs to security experts to possibly even organized crime syndicates. In some cases, the works have been recovered, while other heists have ended with the works being lost permanently.

... Etc. Etc.
