The Male Ego

the one thing I have learned is that cams are the best way to verify anything.

In truth, some guys may have accurate pics but there is no way to tell... referencing things that have different dimensions and sizes...

a dick in a pic without anything can be 6 or 10...
depending what you measure it with... it can still be 6 or 10...

so I say "cam and let me see it~ or no, thank you ~ "

Now... does this statement give a blow to the male ego?

Couldn't agree with this statement more, photos can be manipulated and objects in the photo around the dick blanked out to make the dick look bigger. I've seem some photos where the ruller looks like it has been added in via photoshop afterwards. Its obvious.

It goes back to your previous statement, the girl is gonna see your real dick in the end anyway, why the fuck add inches in the first place, those who say they have never measured and are estimating will probably be wrong by about 1/2inch or so if they are being honest (either smaller or bigger) as most men know how much an inch is! Unless they have never seen a 30cm ruler. But if they are trying to get a fuck there is no point in being stupid and adding 3 inches, thats blatantly obvious to the naked eye when she sees your dick.

Cam is the best way to verify, its how I've always done it.

Another thought though is that the dick also varies in size depending on level of hornyness/sexual heat/temperature/blood thickness etc. How many guys actually take the time to measure it several times and then take the average. The erect penis can fluctuate by quite a big amount on some men.

I am curious (as many know) and this is something I just don't understand.

Would love to hear a discussion on what men think about when they decide to "enhance the truth" about their penis size.

...

I usually lie in the other direction. I say my penis is smaller than it actually is so there's no disappointment or doubt.

Online fun is all well and good and it really doesn't matter. But I am talking about some men who are obviously smaller than they claim.

Being "serious" about meeting up, they insist their cock is what they've reported. I'm not blind, nor am I THAT gullible. Many times I play along until they "finally" come clean about their size. (big SIGH) ...

WHY? What are the thoughts behind such an imagination? Is it all really just a game??

This has happened to me on several (!!!!) occasions... I'm just curious about how the male ego processes something like this~

Thoughts, gentlemen?

PS. If you don't know me.. I have an open marriage. But I am sure there are other women here who meet guys and run into the same issues...

i don't understand either. I mean like I think of myself as average. i hope 6 is average. but I would never claim to be eight even tho you could achieve a few more inches with camera angles. and I've been in the same boat as you. This is also with guys who don't even use their own pictures. Its sad really cause it makes me think less of you if you lie instead of being honest from the beginning.

I should have added that if anyone says he has 10 or 12 inches, there's automatic disbelief. I know whenever I read some of the size claims in threads on this site, my first thought is "Bullshit." All the research says that a very small percentage of men have more than 8 inches, with no scientifically recorded examples of anyone with more than 10. The average ranges from 5.1 to 6.5 inches, depending on the study, with only 0.2 percent having 9.5 inches or more.

I'd rather be thought an honest man of average penis size than a lying needle dick.

Everybody claims they are bigger than they really are, so you get into a double edge sword, you don't know if the girl can mesure cock size, nor if she believes the sizes people tell them, so when you tell them your real size, as they are used to hearing everybody has 9 inches, they find it small, even though you might be much bigger than the guy who claims having a bigger dick, I mean, do you girls really know how big we are? I've met girls that told me they had lots of 10 inches dicks, thats discouraging, who knows if the guys who told her they had 10 really had 6, and when you say you have seven and a half, they diss you off "pff, small dicked asshole".

Kinda like that I guess.

PS: This rule of only man being able to post on this topics is utterly stupid, we want to see what women think of our opinions, this board moderation is borderline retarded. Another evidence to support my case of their retardation is, they have banned me like 8 times, like using proxy is something only the pros can do, actually google chrome has proxy embedded in it, you just click "navigate anonimously", so yeah, ban this account too, I fucking hate you control freaks with no power but little internet buttons, board nazi assholes. Fuck you all.

I tell 'em it's the size of a golf pencil and let them decide from there.

They laugh, I laugh.. being able to joke about it usually lets them know you're comfortable with what you've got, which is usually all a woman needs.

That's not to say that packing heat doesn't have its benefits but if you have to talk about how big your dick is you're likely compensating for something.

Not always, but I'd say mostly.

What really surprises me is how often gay men do this. It's weird because as a gay man you have your own penis and presumably have seen quite a bit more penises in person than both the average straight person (man or woman). What I've noticed with gay men is that average guys usually put close to their actual size in online profiles. But for some reason the ones that are really below or above avg tend to embellish.

I can't even count the number of times that I've seen a pic of guy that is literally like 4.5-5" MAX claiming to be over 7". Or guys that are a perfect mirror of my length at 7.5" that claim to be over 9". Black guys are really notorious for this especially. What blows my mind is that they have pictures right on the profile showing that there's no way they're as big as they claim. I don't get it.

Speaking on us black guys I think most of us do it to live up to the myth expectations it's crazy I agree I used embellish myself just because I wanted to stand out and be noticed more and I hated to think someone was bigger than me lol but I'm older now and I've gotten over the fact I'm not king of the dicks lol...

It disappoints me sometimes. Feels like part of a member or personality you're familiar with has just died once you discover they have a tendency to lie. I know it's just their dick and lots of people do it, but if it's off by enough, it definitely changes the way you see that user from then on.

How about guys lying about their height? That crap's just plain weird. :biggrin1:

That's very refreshing to see. It seems like even hung guys can be really insecure about their meat. I was the same way for awhile too, freely admitting that, but like you I realized there's other things more important than having the biggest dick in the room and that it shouldn't be the sole source of confidence.
There's way too many guys with hangups about what's between their legs.
