Frustrated and a little peeved. First the cable goes out, so I decide to bake a couple of lemon meringue pies. Then the power goes out while I’m stirring the curd in the double boiler. It’s snowing, so I decide to read my Kindle and the battery goes. Well! Anyhow, let’s see how finishing the curd in the old microwave does after it sits for a couple of hours. Probably won’t kill anyone.
