Eh, I'm a bit older and I'd probably ask for my parents opinion on things that could last for months too. Of course I'd still be willing to do it even if they were against it, but I don't really mind if dude has a close relationship with his folks. They just seem like nice supportive people.
Like his dad literally has been a key-reason why tubbo can be successful behind the scenes. Dude drives him, helps him schedule stuff, manage his brand, etc etc.

If he wants to spend time working on himself and his career, then I'm supportive of him. Not everyone needs to jump into dating if they're not ready. Dude got broken up with and it clearly hurt him and altered the way he thinks about dating.
I'd rather he not date if the alternative is he rushes back into dating and fucks up, gets himself into trouble, or just ends up getting used or whatever. Dude is guilty of "love bombing" and so before he can figure himself out, it's better to not date because if he bombs his future partner it will absolutely cause a stink on twitter and that's just fucking annoying.
Last thing I'd want is my favorite boy getting himself canceled.
Plus if you believe what his friends say, that doesn't mean he hasn't had hookups and stuff. They still call him slutty and still say he's hooked up with many guys. Like on the roast when someone says that tubbo had hooked up with the worst guy in brighton that they know, even tubbo awkwardly nodded his head and said "yeah i did."

Well we know one of his ex bf's was kinda twinky and someone he said kept acting F-slur like, that's one of his types.
I'd say his second type would be what I'd call the KyleEff/AverageHarry type, which is dudes who are slightly more masculine than him but are around the same age and somewhat similar builds.
I think for tubbo he's more into personality as long as they're his age, but only he really knows I suppose.
Asking for opinion/advice is one thing, asking for permission is another. Also she's his free therapist, he calls her with everything and shares everything. One more time - being in good terms and in touch with your folks is great and I have zero issues with that but what Tubbo does is in my opinion too close, too clingy for a grown man.

A while back on his alt stream he talked about his past relationships.
He said he was asked out by a boy once, he said yes, and that it was pretty cool. Then later he got asked out by a girl, he said yes, and it only lasted like a week or so. After he said he then asked out a boy, the boy said yes, and that would be his ex ash that we know of.
So he's been "officially" in 3 relationships, 2 boys that went longer than a week, and 1 girl when he was still young and in school that only lasted like a week. I imagine it was around that time when he determined he wasn't into girls.
