Odd mostly because it seems odd that they ever work.

First is you will get hit up by the torso of a very in-shape guy whose profile lists him as a "discreet jock." He will respond fairly quickly but his conversation seems a little off, sort of formal. He will then tell you what he does for a living, usually something somewhat specific (e.g. sells medical equipment) and then ask you what you do. This piece happens way too quickly, often the third or fourth exchange of dialog--it's not a natural place for someone to ask you what you do for a living. He will then tell you that he also invests in crypto on the side... and the game is on--it's an attempt to get you to invest in some crypto scam. I now hit block on the first way-too-soon "I am a medical equipment lab rep, what sort of work do you do?" response but I get these at least once a week.

The second is even odder: a very buff and shirtless Asian guy with a Chinese name (e.g., "Yuxuan") hits you up. The first thing you notice is that he is hundreds of miles away from you. The second is an odd bio, something vaguely poetic to the effect that he is looking for true attraction and friendship and the light which comes from within... The ensuing conversation is clearly Google-translated. I have never stuck around long enough to figure out what they are trying to scam me on, but I am guessing it is also crypto. These also show up several times a week.

Just me or are you guys getting these too?

yes, i get these all the time as well. though i don't engage often or long enough to get a sense of how the conversation goes.

also another i see quite often is a good looking guy who "just recently joined" with a basic name like "John" or "Brad." lol seriously no real person in my area would ever put their real name in their profile.

Ha! Just got messages from two spammers like this, "Jeremy" and "Thomas" both of whom sent overly formal messages ("Hi. I hope you are enjoying this lovely evening!".)

All I could think was "did they see his post?

I get the Chinese bots regularly, and the convo always includes reference to where I am at the time to make it seem legit. I block and they reappear the next day with another name. The other bot profiles I always see are trans women--way too many within 1000 ft of me--who clearly use stolen pics of cis women.
