Uncut - frenulum removal question

On occasion, I get small tears on my foreskin from rough sex with my wife and have found that it's due to the tugging of my frenulum. I'm going to see a urologist this week about frenulum removal (frenectomy or frenuloplasty) as I've ruled out circumcision. I gave circumcision some serious thought but I don't want the extended recover timeframe and feel I will miss being uncut, especially the feeling. I've seen posts on here about people tying their frenulums to alleviate my type of issue. That's not something I could do myself. However, it seems that particular option was hands down less invasive than the procedure the urologist performs, based on my research and photos I've seen.

1. If you've successfully removed your frenulum (either method), did it solve your problem 100%?
2. Why did you chose your frenulum removal option....(urologist vs. DIY)?

Glad you decided to keep your sheath. Plenty of guys on here have tied off their fren quite successfully and will chime in shorty, I’m sure. :p

I also had short frenulum/Frenulum breve.

I went to the urologist and he did a small surgery that solved the frenulum tear problem.

Recovery was ok
I don't remember how long was the recovery time (4/6 weeks) but after the stitches were removed i returned the regular sex life....

Just try to find a doctor that is specialist in "male problem" (Andrologist) and has experience in this surgery.

There are technically two different operations -- a frenectomy, where the frenulum is cut out entirely, and a frenotomy, where a cut is made into the frenulum but no tissue is removed.

Tying falls into the latter. Doctors can do frenotomies, but for whatever reason, the ectomy is more common.

Try seeing if your doc will do a frenotomy. The less tissue removed, the better. Any tissue removed will mean more stiches, more healing, and more scar tissue, which is even less flexible than regular skin.

@PThong Yeah, I'm seeing one tomorrow. Hopefully this urologist is familiar with this as opposed to just circumcision. Did you have your frenulum removed or was it just detaching it?

Yeah, I like the option of keeping the frenulum tissue. I'll what the doc says. Sometimes it seems that docs get gun-ho on a certain method and they don't consider other solutions.

If I were completely intact and considering either, I’d rather tie it off. I’m bias though.

Yeah, your’s is gone. The area is sensitive and feels good to me. Does the area now feel a lot different?
Actually my frenulum was too short, and it was never a area that would give me too pleasure, the moment it started to stretch the pleasure from that area would go away.....

Gotcha! Saw the doctor and we’re going to go with the procedure which doesn’t completely remove the frenulum. The focus indeed will be to separate the bridge to release the tension. I won’t have the procedure until November though due to some October plans which would interfere with the recovery time.

I hope this eliminates the issue as circumcision would be the remaining option if this doesn’t work.

This isn’t a fren, but do you guys think I could separate this adhesion? Or would it be a bad move?

I don't see a need honestly unless it's giving you trouble. Also, it's barely noticeable, from the pic anyway.
I didn’t think it was so bad, but when you are restoring and it pulls on your head, it’s kind of like a dorsal fren, not that I’m worried about my real fren. Haha

I would definitely get the op.

Otherwise if you ignore it like it might just break by itself one day.

With lots of blood.

In the middle of having sex
.
In the guest bedroom at your mother-in-law's house.

Yea, get the op.

That's not a bug, that's a feature. :D

By that I mean, it's a normal anatomical feature. I have it too, and I've seen some cocks where it's far more pronounced.

Frenulectomy is particularly suitable for intact foreskins. Because of this procedure, the foreskin can be moved much more freely. This means that the full stroke can be utilized during masturbation. In addition, the foreskin also remains in the withdrawn state, where I want to have it. When the Frenulum is gone, it does not strain when pumping the penis. I have already removed my Frenulum Praeputii myself many years ago and am very satisfied with the result. I have also not been able to notice feelings of loss. I believe, therefore, that I can recommend any uncircumcised masturbant to this procedure.

I describe my method , as I have my frenulum removed. Everyone must of course know what he wants to do himself .
The frenulum prepuce remove ( frenulectomy ) I can only recommend . The advantages are:
1 The foreskin can move backwards , thus has a larger stroke during masturbation possible and the foreskin is more flexible .
2 The penis looks better, because the foreskin can almost unwrinkled pull back .
3 The penis can be kept much better clean.
I have the frenulum with three interventions even completely removed by the following method .
Requirement is to work clean and sterile , wash hands and penis thoroughly and sterilize the surgical site.
First, I have the penis about 5 minutes in ice water dipped , then you will not notice the cut . Today I would use Emla cream. After sterilization of the frenulum I have with sharp scissors ( with a pair of scissors can not slip ) the frenulum in the middle up to the glans ( glans) cut bottom. Today I would use an electrocautery because almost no bleeding occurs because the wound is cauterized .
It bleeds a little , do not panic . Next, I inserted a sterile gauze into the wound and the foreskin closed ( wound glued else) . Then I closed the foreskin with a strip of adhesive plaster and pulled a condom , if still leaking some blood ( which was not the case).
The next morning I carefully opened the foreskin ( the bleeding had already stopped ) urinates and inserted a new gauze after repeated disinfecting the wound and closed the foreskin back . But that's how I said adhesive pad can easily open for urination . After one week the wound had already healed so well that I could masturbate resist careful. Incidentally, the pain kept within limits is easy to bear .
After a few months , after the wound had healed well , I have only the rest of the frenulum on the Glansunterseite , and after that was healed well, also located on the inside of the foreskin by the same method . In the end I cut out a triangle , so to speak . With the result, I am very satisfied. The procedure is now 50 years ago , so I think I can tell.
Incidentally, I have never had a problem , and I am still very happy with the result . Emotional loss I can not tell .

Sounds like you're speaking from experience. I'm definitely having the procedure as decided before posting this. I was just curious as to why some people didn't go the doctor route.
