Maybe this has been discussed before. But as time goes on and the older I get the more I really appreciate a good foreskin and an uncut cock. I really think that unless there is some medical reasons or perhaps a religious reason, a penis should be left intact. There are even groups that are Intactivists and they advocate for discontinuing the practice of circumcision.

I was at the grocery store one day when I saw a bumper sticker on a car that said, “ foreskins are not a birth defect“. It was from a nursing group that were opposed to circumcision. I have nothing against men who have had the procedure it was probably done without their consent when they were a baby.
Just my two cents on the subject. I think that an uncut penis looks better and feels better to the owner and is more functional for having sex. If someone wants to look at the penis head all they have to do is retract the foreskin and there it is.

In ancient Greek culture having a long foreskin and overhang of foreskin was considered a status symbol. I can see why. I’d love to hear everyone’s thoughts on this. And again I’m not criticizing those of you who have been cut. Your penis is beautiful also.

I’m 73 and I am still angry I was mutilated as an infant for religious reasons (and I am not and have never been religious!). I regard the whole practice as mistaken and some very perverted and questionable processes are involved. I understand babies have died from rabbis kissing the wound and infecting the infant at a dangerous time. Before my mother died in my 40s, I was glad I still had the chance to ask her what right they had to take the decision and decide to mutilate my body in this way. I should have been the one to take that decision, not my parents who were charged to take care of my welfare. There is no valid justification or reason to do it now, it must be criminalised! Beware parents taking this decision now- you have no moral authority to do this on behalf of someone else. If you do- I hope they will come back at you in 20 years and take issue like I have. Had my mother survived, she would have been required to justify her appalling actions.

You sound very upset about this. Perhaps you should find an intactivist group and try to be part of the movement to minimalize circumcision. Quite often in the United States it is not a religious decision so much as it is just common practice. I don’t know if they always ask the parents but I can’t imagine that many parents giving consent. And in the
case of single mothers I would imagine that a lot of women aren’t even quite sure what circumcision is. I asked my last girlfriend if she had ever had a man that was uncircumcised and she didn’t really know what I was talking about. after being with me and having sex with me she is a real foreskin lover at this point.
at this point I don’t think being angry with your parents or your religion is of any benefit to you. If you feel very strongly about this, like I said perhaps do something to help the cause. And in a peaceful and loving manner of course.

In days of old people didn't bath and a unclean cock with foreskin caused problems. One reason was because of that and other reason was religion. I'm circumcised and I'm fine with it but maybe it's better feeling uncut. How would I know now. My own opinion, the circumcised cock head looks more sexy than a uncircumcised one. That's up for debate, men and woman.

Well put. And you have every reason to be proud of your foreskin penis.

Brief introduction, as the rest of the message will be long. I believe that opinion on this subject is influenced by personal taste (aesthetically speaking) and where one is born or lives. I think it's pretty obvious that if you grew up in a place where circumcision is very common, that it will be regarded as the norm and often referred to as preferable. Of course, the argument can be reversed. It suffices to note how much opinion varies if you ask an American or a European.

Personally, as a European, I am not circumcised. I think I have a medium length foreskin. However, I have specific preferences (for example, occasionally I leave the foreskin retracted and the glans exposed), which are derived from the knowledge on the subject that I have acquired over the years and from the culture of my country:

1) I am against "universal" circumcision. Everyone, during late childhood or adolescence, should be able to decide what he wants for himself. At that point he chooses whether to remain intact or remove the foreskin. Naturally, excluding the presence of medical problems that oblige to intervene.

2) Considering the above, I am against newborn circumcision. Unless there are medical reasons, it is better to wait until childhood (as I believe is the case in some Muslim countries).

3) I don't like those penises that have a long foreskin. Better circumcised than having the skin sticking out a lot beyond the glans (almost like a proboscis). Not so much for a hygienic question, but more for aesthetics: a poorly covering foreskin is preferable.

4) In my opinion the best solution is to have a short foreskin. A sort of middle ground. So having a part of the glans that always remains uncovered. Almost as in the case of partial circumcision. I find it really sexy.

5) Regarding circumcision, it being understood that the "style" also derives from the place where the surgery is performed, it should be done following the aesthetics of the penis. Too often I have seen circumcisions done only with the aim of removing the skin, without paying attention to the aesthetic result (and I am not referring only to the "scar" theme). Other times, however, I have seen circumcised penises that are very beautiful overall and perhaps have become so thanks to circumcision. I don't understand, I'm referring to aesthetics and not to sexual sensations, why leave the frenulum once the foreskin has been removed. I find it pointless, as well as ugly.

This topic has been discussed over and over again. Do a search and I'm not saying any of that with sarcasm whatsoever.

As a cut man married to an uncut man, I can definitely relate to where the OP is coming from. I cherish my husband's foreskin probably more than any other part of his anatomy.

With that being said, I dislike using words like "better," "best," and so forth because I think all penises are beautiful and desirable whether they have a foreskin or not, and regardless of size. I have lusted (and continue to lust) after both cut and uncut men, although I will admit knowing that a guy is uncut automatically notches him up several levels on the scale.

If there's a debate, it should be over routine circumcision, not over which is "better" because that's far too subjective.

You cannot escape that a massive number of nerves are destroyed when a foreskin is removed. You can see the pleasure some guys get with the foreskin sliding over their cockhead. Why on earth should this be removed? We need all we can get! I saw a news post recently about the incredible number of nerves that are the clitoris, they result in females having far stronger orgasms than males. It’s a lovely thing seeing women lose control and give way to completely overpowering orgasms that we (males) don’t get. It’s wanton vandalism on a par with that awful thing they do in parts of Africa- FGM (female genital mutilation), removal of adolescent clitoris.

It does not escape that this is MY body. Nobody had the right to remove my foreskin without MY permission, especially a non-medical person (rabbi), and it horrified me to read they indulge in really perverted practices such as kissing the wounded penis! Mouth ulcers in adults regularly cause fatal infections in babies- it is that easy. It is almost unbelievable and a practice that should be legally terminated without delay. In the UK we lock up people who indulge in FGM, but it goes on in immigrant communities.

My parents suffered for their arrogant decision . They had an infant to nurture and teach about the world. As a result if their decision to place me in the hands of a non medical person who mutilated me, they lost their son for life.i did not forgive once I learned what they did. My mother was jewish, i am of no religion. Beware parents, don’t do it! Who knows what attitudes will be in 20 years when your son reaches an age to know what you did, and asks you why they were so happy to commit him to a degraded sexual experience for life, because that is exactly what happens when you cut off so many nerves meant for pleasure.

Clearly it's a discussion that needs to be ongoing.
Not necessarily. Out here you have people that feel it's mutilation, others that don't, other's that really don't care one way or the other, etc. Being cut or uncut is usually a parents decision. It may happen later in life where it is the owner of the cock whether to cut or uncut. Some have it for medical reasons which I won't go into. Most of the time it turns into an argument about which is better, etc. I've been a member out here for 16-17 years now and I'll tell you it's a discussion that generally has no good outcome. Whether it's the parents that decided, or the owner of the cock that decided, it always end up with well I prefer a .......... Then a disagreement that someone else prefers a ........ If the person who owns it is happy, whether cut or uncut is what is important. Sometimes you'll have a cut guy that is happy being cut and others that will jump in and say what's it feel like being mutilated? I mean really? It is whatever it is, generally it's not going to change, etc. So why argue or go back and forth on it? Especially if it was the owner that made his decision to keep it or not. It generally goes nowhere because you have ppl in both camps.

While I respect your perspective and agree that it tends to be a back-and-forth argument with people choosing sides, I think it's important to underscore that many discussions about complex or controversial subjects are often ongoing. Sometimes I think the discussion itself is more important than whether a specific resolution or outcome is reached. I value the individual perspective far too much to discount it just because the subject matter may have been done to death.

I was circumcised at birth and at the time that was the thing. How can I blame my parents now? Deal with what you have now and forget about the past. Every generation has there beliefs in general about life and sex. Just move on. Again in the past it was hygienic and religious beliefs. We know better now.

I probably should have named my post “I am glad that I’m uncut and prefer uncut cocks in my bi experiences”.
like many of you in the US I grew up in a world of circumcised penises. In gym class in the shower there were very few uncircumcised guys and I felt a little weird. As I got older I cherished the fact that I’m intact. In college I the shower there were guys from other countries and almost all of them were uncircumcised. An English guy joked around in the shower one time and said what the heck is wrong with you guys having part of your willies sliced off. He was joking we all laughed. I sure didn’t mean to offend anyone. Some additional thoughts I have, it is a scientific fact that there are thousands of nerve endings in the foreskin and especially the frenulum. And I feel it gives me options for jacking off that cut guys don’t have. And like others have said I enjoy the look of a penis head and all I have to do to see that or show it is to retract the foreskin and there it is. Cleanliness is not a problem by the way

Present day ,true ,cleanliness is no issue but pre 19 century more or less people didn't bathe like we do now and again religion beliefs. I agree with you all BUT that was the way they did things back then. We Live and learn.
