I'm wary about the term "virgin". Originally it just meant "young woman" and implied no sexual status at all. Personally I don't think it's a term men should use to describe themselves. For what it's worth, I'd say that if you've got to 38 and not had penetrative sex, it's nothing to be ashamed of. To my mind, it suggests that you haven't yet found the right person and you've got tremendous self respect. Good for you!
