For years I thought men and women responded to the same things. It took having access to the internet and finally trying to ask some of the right questions of my female friends before I realized that we are not the same. I know, news flash, right?
So my question is...do you women respond to visual images like men do? Do you need to have a personal connection with the person in the image or can it be just a matter of being in the mood, or does none of it do anything for you? Men are obviously very stimulated by porn visuals (video/GIFs/photos) but from what I gather, women aren’t as much. I’m curious if there are types of porn or any images that can be arousing for you or is it more of a “take it or leave it” thing?

Thank you for taking the time to give your insights. It helps me understand better. :)

I can objectively find beauty in pretty much any human body. Do I find it sexually stimulating? Not really. If I’m already stimulated, a physical image might add to the mood, but an image alone doesn’t do it for me.

I definitely do not need a connection with an individual in an image to find it appealing in a sexual manner. The majority of the posts I've made on this forum so far are in a BDSM image thread and most of those are appealing in such a manner to me. In porn videos I do not care to see the faces of the actors that much. I want to see the fingering, fucking, whatever. Not some super close zoom, but shown in some way + their bodies ideally. I always skip the "intro" bits in porn too.

Allow me to introduce you to the Smut Goes Here thread.

I am crazy visual, my perv switch is the same. I don't need an emotional connection, I must see some effort and creativity. Kink and a spooky aesthetic are also encouraged.

I can become physically aroused by looking at images and without and connection emotionally to the person(s) I'm looking at.

I can also get all the way off without looking at anything.

I also don't need to be physically attracted to a person to be sexually attracted to them, while at the same time I can find someone very physically attractive without being sexually attracted to them.

So, I guess a whole lot of things can get my bits-a-tingle.

I like porn but most of the times not the sex or the actors. It's mostly a gateway to remember situations and settings I've been in myself.

I don't find the porn exciting or erotical itself. Watching a cute guy on the beach or dancing with a guy is way more erotically charged.

This is very fascinating. So far the answers have been very different from each other. I like that everyone is so individual with what they respond to. I’m a bit like @Tiny Princess where I prefer porn that reminds me of experiences that I have had before. Probably because the memory of what it actually physically felt like is so visceral.
Thank you for answering the question. You are all the best!
