I would go toy shopping with your wife, so you can pick something out together, honestly. Since you want it to be something to improve your mutual sex life, I see it as better to get her personal input. What I like in my ladybits is likely not the same as she will like.

I do recommend buying toys that are high quality silicone, glass, or metal. The toys meant to feel like real skin are going to be porous and can't be kept as clean as the materials I do recommend. If she likes more vigorous stimuli as far as vaginal penetration, glass or metal would perhaps not be ideal.
