Were you allowed to put posters of girls/other masturbation material on your bedroom walls?

ive always been fascinated with the idea that at one point it was ok to put obvious jerk off material on your walls where your parents could see it. it seems like most parents would be against such open displays of horniness from their children but it was so common posters like the heather Thomas one sold millions. if you hung this up on your bedroom wall you're basically saying I'm horny and want to fuc/jack off to hot girls and letting your whole family know.

I think most parents are less concerned about displays of horniness, and more concerned as to how said horniness is acted upon. As such I would imagine posters, body pillows and romantic reading material would all be quiet ways to provide an outlet without the biological, and social consequences of seeking that outlet in peers before they were ready.

Firstly, I respected the fact the room I shared with a brother, and house, belonged to my parents - not me. Only what my parents permitted would be on those walls. Secondly, my Christian conservate mother ruled the roost, not my easy-going father. As your poster wasn't sexually explicit, not even nude, it would be of no concern to my parents. BTW I once found erotic literature mother kept hidden away. I confessed to her that I found and read it. Her response was not not what I expected. She told me I was free to read it. But I understood that such "guilty pleasures" were to be enjoyed privately and not displayed upon the walls of our house for all to see.

No....

I shared a room with my sister, so she would not have appreciated such a thing. Nor would our parents who are religious people.

However I did have a photo of Willie Mays. Who my friends and I spent our childhood trying to emulate...with varying degrees of success.
