I'm looking for some input. I'm trying to help my friend understand himself better as he is struggling deeply with his sexuality. He has tried talking to me about his issues but being that I'm just a bisexual male, and not trans...I can't really relate to him as much
Basically he is dealing with attractions to men and more so, trans women. It's clear he still has deep rooted denial and internalized homophobia but he seems to slowly be coming around. He claims that he isn't homosexual, that he has an obsession with women but it's due to him wanting to be like them and have sex like them. He states he isn't attracted to male characteristics but is much so attracted to penises. He has desires to have sex with a trans woman or a male that looks enough like a female. The part that confuses me is that he genuinely does check out cis men that don't actually look like females. I'll catch him looking at masculine guys for all their features. Butts, dicks, upper bodies and legs, even guys with attractive faces. I don't think he's attracted to cis females because he's never been able to orgasm during intercourse with a cis girl. It's like he prefers dick over pussy but maybe can't accept attraction to men in general so he's latching onto female attraction the best he can.
From what I've read in other posts, it's common to be into dicks but only on females or feminine boys, but is it common to be in denial about liking men in general at first? I think one of his first steps should be accepting he isn't as attracted to cis women as he thinks and that he might be into men more than he realizes.
