In addition to our regular news shows (NBC, MSNBC, Maddow, Joy Reid, et al) and late night shows (Colbert & Seth, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver... Maher is starting to piss us off) we've been watching reality shows Love after Lockup, 90 Day Fiancee, and various home improvement & flipping shows on HGTV. Below Deck's last season ended abruptly due to Covid. And we've sporadically caught a few episodes of Hell's Kitchen.

Our DC bill o fare has restarted (Black Lightning, Batwoman, The Flash, and the new Superman and Lois), the last which turns out to be pretty good. And then there's HBO's Pennyworth (a rather excellently done early years take on Alfred Pennyworth). NCIS New Orleans is in its last season. It's the only crime drama I've bothered to watch (I understand CBS is full of them - firemen, cops, medical, what have you).

On Netflix, Coming 2 America, and Altered Carbon season 2. And we've just finished the fifth season of The Expanse (Amazon Prime) and the series just keeps getting better and better.

Just finished the 10 episodes, always fun to spend some time in Sion Sono's head. Megumi Kagurazaka as Elizabeth Bathory and a touch of Miyavi, what's not to like. Would be interested in seeing the film edit. (I think all episodes are also on youtube with english subs)

Zack Snyder's Justice League (HBO Max) I was thinking we didn't get this channel then missus said, "No silly, you get it if you have HBO." Three things:

One, don't be alarmed when it doesn't show in letterbox format. Snyder deliberately shot it that way (for an IMAX screen IF one wanted to show it that way).

Two, don't bother to read critical reviews of it. Half of them are garbage anyway (which is why I ignore movie critics). See it and decide for yourself.

Three, this is not a "director's cut." It's a remake - a totally different animal. (hint: black).
