Two have responded to your post about doing away with ETC, music, politics, etc. who do not agree with you.

Again, I speak from being here around 15 years as a member with a few years as being a mod.

The cow is already out of the barn. All the forums you mentioned were already here except for Politics when I joined and I have explained why Politics came to have its own forum.

Look at the title: Large Penis Support Group. This web site was originally a group of highly educated and very intelligent as I understand it from those who were charter members who founded a web site to talk about music, art, and sex etc. with a title that was originally a spoof on men with large dicks needing a support group.

There might be a need for a Micro Penis Support Group ( Micro Penis is defined as being less than three inches erect according to one site I read.) Most likely there are medical as well as emotional reasons why an adult man with 2.5 in. erect penis might need a support group.

In general men with endowed penises are proud of it and are known to show it around or at least this is the perception of public opinion.

The title of lpsg was picked to be a farce about men who have big dicks and need a support group to deal with their problem of having a dick too big!

I understand that there are now 250 thousand members.

I suspect that if lpsg should make the drastic decision to delete music, art, politics, sexual relationships. and every forum except those that deal solely with having large penises there would be an outcry. Such a decision would delete most of the forums that have been here from the beginning of lpsg.

What if only members with large penises could remain members? All the women members would be gone and many male members as well.

The mods might have increased duties searching for posts that posts that are 100 % about large penises so they can delete the posts that aren't solely about large penises and ban the poster who mentions music, art, politics, ETC, and fictitious stories.

I doubt the present owner would want to piss off most of the active members.

What about the people who have paid to be gold members? Perhaps they joined to read ETC or Women's Issues. Now their forums are to be deleted per request of new member of LPSG?

Does this really make sense to delete the favorite forums for many paying members to please a new member with 200 posts?

The best procedure for a new member would be to read and post only in the forums that he/she likes. This is what I do. I have never read a single post to the Women's Issues and presently have no desire to start reading any thread in Women's Issues.

Look dude, it’s my opinion. I really don’t need you or anyone else arguing with me about it. I will say, though, that I highly doubt this website was started as some sort of high minded art and music group with a parody title either. And then someone decides to *actually* make it about penises and sex? Right. You also don’t know how long I have been lurking here before I finally created an account. The owner asked for opinions, and even he said the politics forum is nasty etc. etc. And I said delete all forums not having to do with penises or sex.

I won't be responding to (or reading) anything from you again.

Then don't post on a bulletin board. That's what happens when you post on a bulletin board. Had you not noticed?

Freddie makes the whole thing sound more high-toned than it was — but he's given a roughly accurate account of how the site started.

You also don’t know how long I have been lurking here before I finally created an account.

Not long enough to have any first-hand knowledge of the origins of this website.

(I have had several identities on this board, and I think I arrived shortly after Freddie did. What Freddie said was widely understood on the board 15 or 16 years ago.)

And I’m not responding to him again either. He responded to me once, and that was enough. Besides, the owner asked for people’s opinions. I gave mine, and he can direct his 2¢ at the owner as well.

No, I wasn’t lurking here from the very beginning, but it was a long time ago, and I do remember it being much simpler overall. I think it’s rather bloated now. Lots of superfluous, irrelevant forums that don’t need to exist. Focus.

Well, what a party-pooper you are, @LQC! Those are the very forums that hundreds if not thousands of LPSG members enjoy and visit the most, and often daily.

You would favor doing away with discussions about music, and cars, and vacation places, and our varied sexualities, and movies, and TV series, and the news of the day, etc., etc.?... You don't want members to even be able to play games together?... Really?... I'm so glad that most LPSG members are not so single-minded, or closed-minded!

There's "plenty of other places on the Internet" that are just about cocks.

Why would you want our site to be less interesting for those of us with multiple interests, who come here to interact with other members who have interests other that just big cocks? LPSG is a special place that has grown and matured to become something spectacular.

If you disapprove of the Politics Forum so much, @LQC, why are you opening it and posting in it?... Quit being such a "Debbie Downer" here, and go join those 100%-Nothing-But-Cocks websites, instead.

LQC doesnt like the politics thread because he isn't free to spread lies and baseless bullshit here - nor is he allowed to pretend hes a 'centrist' (and not the transphobe/misogynist/racist with fantasies of a return to the 'traditional values' of a 50's that never were that he revealed himself to be with only the slightest pressure) - without being challenged. And, like all regressives, if he can't do what he wants without anyone challenging him or holding him to basic rules of decorum, decency and debate, he wants it burnt down. He would rather take something away from people he despises than interact with them and learn and grow as a person.

*shrug*

And that's another reason we need this board: to keep information and facts and the myriad of voices that deserve to be heard over the constant drone of right wing disinformation that fills the airwaves. To make sure FACTS are on the table in the face of an unprecedented push to redefine truth and reality to suit the far right's goals. By keeping the Politics forum up, it helps keep REAL reality from getting paved over by the wild-eyed hateful nonsense regressives love to peddle to a complacent majority, numbed to reality by so much distracting entertainment at their fingertips. If even one person accidentally steps into the politics forum and learns something, it has done good.

Despite what those who would prefer we stay silent want you to think.

I feel your pain. These observations came to mind.

“Some cause happiness wherever they go; others whenever they go.”—Oscar Wilde

“Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt.”
— Abraham Lincoln

All apposite references to The Creature.
But there is no hope, ChiSam. You know this, and I know this.
The Creature is a creature.
Of course, a good swift banning would provide a pleasant cleansing.
And probably soon will.

Almost everyone I have placed on IGNORE is eventually banned. The problem comes when they are reinstated. Even with a second chance, most fail and are banned again. They never get it—they never accept responsibility for their choices. Some are gone within minutes of returning. I’ve seen some that may be here on a third or fourth try. Those IGNORE lists come in handy when escapees from Banned Camp try to sneak in. They give themselves away.
Brilliant. I can't believe I've never heard it before.

I now have two peeps on ignore, an all-time high for me.

And the irony writing in bold letters.

Nothing meant to be "ironic" about it, @Max Downs. I have been "bold-facing" my posts here for quite a while now, due to the fact that my retinas do not see light gray fonts very well on my laptop's screen. LPSG's default text font is very light gray, and therefore difficult for me to see.

I bold-face my posts so that I can view them and make corrections, if needed. Your above post implies that I bold-face my posts to draw attention to them, when in fact, I don't do it to "mean" anything else but to assist my own readability.

Thank you for your observation.
I like to dismiss boring and unimaginative ramblings.
Please continue and feel free to keep on topic.

Interesting that you have chosen to "Follow" me here, then... lol!

That explains it. Good choice to go with bold face—you and our other friend. Hopefully, it’s an easy fix to an annoying challenge. I have had detached retinas in both eyes—one a successful repair, the other not. So, like you, in wanting to be responsible in online writing, careful editing is necessary in the limited time we’re given. I also have the joy of working around another challenge on top of the other. To your credit, you’ve always been an intelligent high level detailed responsible writer. I understand where you are coming from, and commend you for taking this accommodation. You’ve always been bold as poster, so why not go bold in presentation? If anyone has a problem with it, it’s their problem. Madame Zora said it best in her legendary response.

It is nasty, but it’s not divided. It is overwhelmingly populated by fanatics of a certain political persuasion. I mean, super fanatical. So fanatical that if you say anything that is forcefully against what *they* believe, then YOU must be such and such, and do such and such, and believe such and such, and no matter how many times you tell them, you don’t do those things, or are not, or don’t believe those things, you are accused of being a liar. These people have complete tunnel-vision. And NO, it’s certainly not a great place for “news”. My God, if LPSG is where these people are getting their news from, that’s pretty concerning. I mean, it’s no better than saying you get your news from Facebook or Twitter! I see not how it’s beneficial for LPSG to have it, unless it doesn’t matter because it drives clicks and ad revenue, so then who cares? Maybe that’s the attitude. But LPSG would be a whole lot better if it were about sex and penises, and nothing else. Stay focused. There are many other places people go to discuss politics. LPSG shouldn’t be one of them.

And why do they have to play it so loud? That's not music!

Thanks for backing me about the history of this web site.

Of course with a title like Large Penis Support Group this site rapidly turned in to site that the US federal government considers to be a porn site! At the same time this web site has continued from the beginning to offer a wide range of forums available to anyone who wants to log on.

One only needs to type in lpsg.com and read the content of the forums, but not view any pics or vids anywhere on the LPSG web page. Those who sign in as members can post in the forums as well as access photos and videos to see and to post pics and vids.

The mission from the start of LPSG has been to be inclusive of all subjects and at all reading levels and interest.

We the members as a whole group of LPSG determine subjects and the level of discussion.

Members who demand that only what they want to be discussed usually end up with a ban, sometimes several bans before finally the permanent ban!

As a mod, I would often Read the "March to Final Permanent Ban" that certain people would take. None of the suggestions from the mods to tone it down, or leave it alone slowed the "March to Final Permanent Ban.

Sadly temp bans and finally the ban to end all bans ended some people's LPSG career!

The LPSG has always been an eclectic web site for all. Preachers and villains, saints and sinners, far left and far right, world wide members who speak and can read and write in English have made their place noticed here at LPSG.

As long as Mr. LPSG has been a member here, I don't expect any earth shattering changes.

I doubt Mr. LPSG will make this a male only site with only penis and nude ass be the only pics, vids, and written posts be allowed and kill off everything else.

Mr. LPSG does own the place and can shut it down if he wishes. However, I suspect that Mr. LPSG does not want to deal with all the Gold members who have paid money to be a part of the LPSG and are finding their favorite part of LPSG gone!

The one thing that I suspect that neither Mr. LPSG nor the present mods want to read is complaints to the mods because the other members here at LPSG are posting positions that they disagree with!

Sometimes it is the Complainer that is the one that gets the warning, not the Poster that has posted something that has pissed off said Complainer!

Something we all should all consider before we send complaints to the mod!

What I have liked so much about the LPSG is that it is up to each member to decide whether a pic or vid is nudity or it is porn. No one is forcing anyone to look at a pic or view a vid.

No one is forcing anyone to read anything here.

Think of the LPSG as an online library. No one can read every book in a large library. We pick and choose in a library. We should be able to continue picking and choosing what we want from LPSG, not have a few members trying to censor what we can read or see here at the LPSG?

At present content is not banned except for posting underage pics, vids and/or written posts of underage persons who are immediately banned when a mod discovers the underage person here at LPSG.

Members can be banned for repetitious attacking other members that are "over the line" in posts.

Banning topics at LPSG would be a first in the history of the LPSG! (Except for topics concerning the underaged.)

The best procedure is to follow this: Don't like it, then move on to another pic or vid and/or post!

LPSG is only a porn site for some members.

At the same time, some members have been posting discussions concerning church issues, literature, art, education, and so on and so forth!

This is a site that has been about being open to all now for 20 or so years. Why would we remove forums that have a loyal readership now for 20 or so years and tell them to find some place else to visit?

Then go through the process of providing refunds for those members who have been kicked out of their favorite threads?

Why should one relatively new member decide what can be viewed here.

Where is it written that Mr. LPSG must follow whatever the latest new member believes must be done with LPSG?

Especially the Gold Members and Mr. LPSG should have a say in the future of LPSG, not leave the decision to a relatively new member!
