What Happened to SmutJunkies & Gay Erotic Archives?

I was just curious if anyone knew what the deal was with sister websites SmutJunkies and Gay Erotic Archives. These two websites were some of the best online reference works / resources for Gay Pornography.

I tried going to both websites today and saw that they were both down. Does anyone know how long they've been down? I'm hoping these sites haven't permanently closed....that would suck.
