It's common for people who have darker skin (or people with ancestors who have darker skin) to have darker skin on their genitals, probably due to human evolution (early humans pretty much walked around nude all the time or without much clothing, so it makes sense that the genitals would be just as affected as the rest of the skin.). The people that migrated to the North developed less melanin through years of evolution, hence why all their genitals are probably not dark or as dark as their Southern counterparts. The closer people are to the equator, the darker the skin tone and the more melanin in the the skin there is (usually). Also, darker skin people are less subceptible to the sun's harmful rays when compared to fairer skinned individuals. The genitals are also sensitive parts of the body so the darker the skin, the better defense the skin on the genitals have against the sun's damaging rays.

While it is common, there are also instances where skin discoloration could indicate some type of fungal or skin disorder that one should probably see a doctor about.

Well I mean, yeah but that's obvious. If you have a darker skin tone by design you will have darker skin on your penis. Case in point above, Mr Alencar is Hispanic and therefore his member naturally has a darker tone. As with many of the guys who's pictures have been posted - they're generally olive skinned, dark haired, Mediterranean looking etc.

I'm white, pale, blond Northern European by several generations. If I get a deep tan it makes my skin tone match, but for the most part it looks a lot darker than the rest of my body. I'm not sure there's any real explanation for it but if someone has scientific reasoning I'd love to hear it
