Oh sure, there are things I would consider an objective truth. I haven't seen anything from you/anything in your own words that I would consider to fall into that category.
Then I advise you to please read the sources I posted, and to follow some of the streamers I linked here and ask them to go more in-depth for you. Everyone keeps saying I'm working purely from anecdotal reasoning while ignoring this for some reason.
It is all well and good that you view some people on Twitch as "public figures".
Does public figures really need to be in quotations here
It still is a platform for entertainment, most known for things like streamers playing battle royale FPS and MOBA games.
This doesn't change the fact that some of it can be educational and informative as well.
Or, more recently, cam girls that don't want to put in the work to be actual cam performers and hanging out in hot tubs while wearing a bikini, to get an easy buck from sad, lonely nerds.
Tbf some twitch streamers actually do this. I think there are much worse ways to earn a living.
Having political and philosophical conversations on a purely for making Bezos more money entertainment platform doesn't give it any real legitimacy.
I don't think the fact that everything anyone does is intertwined within the capitalist system we live in discredits the criticisms levied against said capitalist system. Twitch has greatly contributed to making socialism more influential and profitable.
People talk about politics and philosophy on here too, a forum with a focus on cock. Saying that someone might resemble or appears be an academic on a platform meant for entertainment doesn't really mean... well, much of anything until actual proof is shown.
Agreed 100%, at some point proof must be shown.
You may have seen that proof. It hasn't been shown on here, at least not that I have seen.
Scroll up and/or check my post history to see some of it. ^_^
I also am extremely skeptical that anyone who has worked in government intelligence would be open about it, their identity, and prove it on a platform like Twitch. This is from someone whose partner of years has done work with a variety of Federal agencies over the years. But hey, I don't expect you to take that for truth, any more than I've found much of anything you've said to be true.
I have no reason to believe you're lying. I also don't know why a verified streamer saying they used to work in intelligence should be met with more skepticism than you or your partner though : p
You do post/speak like your experiences are more valid than others. You do come off to at least a handful of users (myself included) on here as trying to act as though you're better/smarter, whether you realize it or not. At this point, I would hazard a guess that you are quite aware of it.
My goal is to be informative more than anything. It just seems like the act of relaying a lot of the stuff I've learned is upsetting to some users here for some reason : p I don't think anyone's actually qualified precisely what makes me condescending though (mostly just expressing things based on a feeling they have)...
Lastly, yes, you are being questioned about your tone and generalizations after in at least one instance flat out admitting to trying to manipulate people albeit in a rather clumsy and obvious way. Your posts mostly make me think of a nice sauna. Lots of hot air.
Was it clumsy? it seemed rather effective actually. As far as I know there's nothing unethical about asking questions loaded up in a way that helps you better understand the person they're posed to. There was no malevolency in it. Screening someone is a pretty important skill to have sometimes, I would say.
