A few guys in another thread were discussing a certain sex position that seems way too common in studio-produced straight porn these days. (Girl's butt propped high up on a piece of furniture so she's almost upside down + guy standing or crouching over her, dick pointed downward.) Somebody pointed out how uncomfortable it must be for the girl to maintain that pose, especially while having to pretend she's enjoying it

It got me to thinking: in what ways would porn look different if women ran the industry? What kinds of aesthetic improvements would you make? Or maybe it wouldn't even exist. Maybe your plan is "shut it down, sell off the assets, and give the proceeds to the workers." That's cool too. You're the boss. What do you do?

From a managerial view, I’d start with vesting the workers, from techs to actors as owners in a worker run cooperative once a couple years passed. This assumes it makes a profit at all.

id develop “loving kink” as a genre. I’d normalize body hair, not use it as a fetish.
I’d create a department that made educational films for the not yet adult market. Something like the Your a Body books that are kinda a thing in parenting.

I'd focus with Lazer precision on the health and well-being of the actors and workers on set.

I'd portray *real* sex, or realistic sex, if that makes sense. Fantasy is fine, but I think it takes front and center in the industry and it shouldn't. If others disagree and think I'd lose profit, well.. my priorities aren't in the money making. Porn will sell. Period. My priorities are in the safety of my workers and the health, physical and mental, of the consumers buying my product.

That's why I'll likely die poor
