You’re confusing nationality with race. Indian and Palestinian are nationalities, but they also reflect different ethnic n racial backgrounds - south asian and Middle eastern. Mixed race isn’t limited to just white, African or east asian. A child of Indian and Palestinian parents can absolutely be considered mixed race because they come from distinct racial and ethnic groups.
Race is *not* ethnicity… For example: Whether you’re Benin and Togo, Sudanese, Jamaican, African American, you’re of African descendant which is the actual race. Indian and Palestinian are nationalities (India and Palestine) with various ethnic groups residing within those countries, but they are all still racially Asian from the continent of Asia at the end of the day. That’s not mixed. What would they be mixed with? *Genetically*? Multiethnic is not multiracial.

Yes, this is all correct. You can be multiethnic and multiracial, but race and ethnicity are still separate categories. Overlapping does not mean they are one and the same. Being Palestinian and Indian are two different nationalities and ethnicities, but these are not *races*. This is what I was saying. He is multiethnic but does not fit the definition of multiracial/mixed race. Races are as follows: Indigenous, African, European/white, Asian. There are subcategories (East & South Asian) but these are the main categories. Race science is fake anyways but I was just clarifying OP’s mistake. The man is multiethnic not multiracial.

Arab and desi are 2 different races….he is mixed race. To suggest “Asian” = one race is insane…by ur logic a person with a Chinese parent and turkish parent are not mixed racee cause they’re both from asia. Also, “Indian” is not an ethnicity, there anre multiple ethnicities within India. Again, Arabs and desis are not the same race, so thus he equals a mixed race individual. You are point blank wrong and to suggest Arabs and desis are the same race is frankly ignorant and racist
