Very much so. At the end of the day, porn is also acting and artifice, an arousal narrative (in both literal and non-literal ways) - while it’s understandable why finding out some additional, real-world context could affect your arousal, ask yourself where that arousal came from in the first place. I doubt it was from the moral character of the actorsthere's a really simple way to avoid that: simply watch the porn and don't dig into their personal lives

Then OF started to take off in 2018 and studio porn as a whole never recovered. Meanwhile at least half of the guys on OF are scammers.

I remember Active Duty going downhill sooner than the others. I have to go WAY back to find a scene that gets me off. Corbin Fisher decreased in quality, and they've got such a limited stable of performers, but I still find myself getting off to their scenes nowadays. They still know how to shoot gay porn over there, even if you're ultimately seeing various combinations of the same guys.
DOnBack in the day, I used to browse the ladybonersgw subreddit. There was a hot guy who used to posts nudes on there under the name "wheytooswole", I used to regularly read his posts not just on there but on other subreddits. He seemed to be on some PEDs and would chronicle confrontations he had with whoever, eventually though life seemed to calm down for him as he got into a relationship with a girl he seemed to really like. Around this time he mentioned he was contacted by a gay porn studio to film a video but wasn't sure he would do it since he didn't know how he would feel about gay guys masturbating to him.
Not who I was picturing--don't recall him. Addison was so hot and kinky and so evil. I think part is personality/nature and a lot is what they do when impacted by booze, drugs, PEDs, etc. Lots have even had issues due to mental health issues or the drugs meant to help them. The % of incarceration, murder, and suicide is insane. I, like you, can't get off knowing I'm watching a monster. HUGE difference between on-screen villain/bad boy/trouble and off-screen.

The vast majority move on to normal lives. People here cherry picking the crazies, druggies and criminals doesn't change that 90% of these guys transition out of porn and have families and jobs like everyone else.
In what regard? Plenty left porn, got married, had kids, have careers, etc. Many have had legal issues. Very few that I know of that went to other porn studios, but some have done their own thing on OF or the like. Did SC have exclusivity contracts, because it seems like almost all appear only on SC, but there are those like Harley who went into pro modeling, including nudes and some that did stuff elsewhere, like Brandon, Daniel, and Jonah (Brady Jensen).
Mentioning they exist or finding out in recent years about one of them is hardly cherry picking.

The models are not the problem here 'cause we really can't go back to pre-OF era and we have to accept that, it's the production and direction that needs total improvement. I wish they get the crew from 2012 to 2017 because I think they're the best. Also, reduce the filters because the color grading of early to mid-2010s SC videos are the best.
