1-2-3 Do You Know This About Me?

My 1st Burning Man (2004): went on my own and was sooo cracked out by the end that I actually burst into tears near Vegas when the (British) national anthem came on the radio.
2nd Burning Man: I took my internationally accepted millionaire friend to say SEE??!! I fuckin' TOLD you!!! Did quite a bit of meth with a woman with braids and then fell in love.
3rd BM: was perfect
4th BM: was the one from Hell, went wrong at every turn, finished with me losing my rag and challenging friend to a duel. Dramas.
5th BM: we did a theme camp and my photography got good... but I shoulda gone on my own.

I did go some more but that's for another time.

2 pls.

From dust to air: Burning Man’s magical, temporary airport

For anyone who hasn't experienced Burning Man I highly recommend it. What the hell is a Burning Man? Think of a blend of Haight-Ashbury and Woodstock of the 1960s, the recent Sturgis motorcycle gathering in South Dakota, and for me the yearly Oshkosh Air Show. In other words, it's a festival where you and your subset of humanity can act like lunatics in total freedom and feel comfortable doing it. And it's held w-a-a-a-y out in the desert, roughly a hundred miles north of Reno, Nevada.

When we visited Burning Man in those joyous pre-COVID days of 2016, we flew-up from Montgomery Field near San Diego in a friend's Rockwell Commander 1000 turboprop. It's a good choice of flying machine with a high wing and landing gear designed for unpaved runways. You see, Black Rock International airport as it is laughingly designated, is actually an ancient dry lake bed with a portable, makeshift tower and a guy manning the UNICOM frequency on 122.9MHz. For those who can't avail themselves of a 300-knot turboprop I'd suggest renting a car at the Reno airport. Another option is to flying aboard that RAVN Connect Beechcraft 1900D shown in the article. While we were there it flew-in twice with a 19-passenger plane load of Burning Man enthusiasts.

Burning Man is notorious in the media for it nudism. Judging from the ratio of male-verses-female nudity we saw, men were overwhelmingly more eager to disrobe than women. Although my wife and I are also nudists we kept our clothes on, probably because we stayed with a textile aviation crowd. But for those nudists who are also lifestyle participants, there is also an Orgy Dome at Burning Man.

Lastly, might I advise everyone to heed the words of Rudyard Kipling: If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs...

I quite like:

"If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs... then maybe you have misunderstood the problem."

:p

When going to sleep, I find when I lay my head to the left I have dreams of fantasy and imagination...When I lay my head to the right I usually have dreams of memory.

If I lay on the pillow and doze off..nose to ceiling, so to speak, it's usually dreamless, from what I remember from the subconscious.

I am a little OCD.

I have met someone online. Big mistake, HUGE!!!

I am very placid, up to a point........

Five please. :)
