How was this even possible? How were they able to record? I’m so confused

It's already been covered in the thread. Some guy at William & Mary (the college) in the early 10s was taking videos in the showers and locker rooms. There was a thread here with dozens of them though they've been removed for years. In some of them you could see his face; he was wearing headphones and had some kind of device that made it look like he was listening to music, so people didn't pay attention to him, but he was recording the guys behind him. JB was at W&M at the time and was one of the guys but definitely not the only one.

They said it was his friend maybe lover who knows. But that's certainly him. Just thinner it was when he was at LSU an assistant coach . But they say it's probably him at a gym in his hometown of Miami.

Whoever "they" is, they're wrong.
