It's a positional thing. QBs can vary, but generally they are taller so they can see over the O-Line. If they're shorter, they're usually quick. As you move towards the center of the O and D Line, players get bigger and wider. Towards the outside and the more mobile positions, they get shorter. The shortest guys on the team are usually the safeties, the running backs, and the wide receivers.
