I loved the first movie. There was something about the seriousness of Hit Girl and Big Daddy and their relationship contrasted with the naive and goofy KickAss that just propelled the movie above "B" movie status for me. The over-the-top violence and bloodshed was very Quentin Tarantino-ish.
I've seen the trailer for sequel and didn't think it looked any cheaper than the first film.
However, I was blown away by Jim Carrey in the trailer for the sequel. I couldn't believe it was him! Wow, he looks totally different than any of his other films. I am looking forward to the release of this film.
