Interesting. Speaking as a connoisseur of those earlier days, I think it was true during that era too. Honestly those videos changed my whole concept of bisexuality and/or “masc” gay guys back in the day, because there is absolutely no way some of those guys are 100% straight (such as Cole, Damien, Thomas, ALL of whom ended up with wives and/or kids irl).

I feel like vintage Active Duty is proof there are more of us LGBTQ folks out there than anybody ever realized, and surveys are finally starting to reflect that now (with up to 20% of Gen Z self-identifying as LGBTQ in one recent poll, I think).

And 15.6% from those 20% gen Z folks are bisexual- only 2.1% of gen Z is gay and 1.4% is lesbian.
Plus its entirely plausible that gay porn helped many of those guys realize their sexual attraction to men.

Cameron was hot af but yeah it’s fair to say I probably woulda responded to that whole scene much differently if it were a young woman being filmed in that state.

There was another scandal after that. Some guy did some hidden videos in the men’s locker room and showers at MCRD San Diego and Camp Pendleton. He was selling the VHS tapes on line. The video was titled “ Good Morning Marines.” A friend made me a copy of his. When I was watching it I recognized one of the Marines. I had photographed him on several occasion when I was Military photographer.
