Wow do we/ can we say the word Indy, anymore
By "Indy", is that a typo for "Indian"? If so, of course you can say Indian. He's of a English/British man of Indian decent, as in his ancestors were from India.

Whether or not it's appropriate to refer to Native Americans as Indian is another (more debated) matter, and not relevant to Dev Patel, but maybe that's what you're think of?

I think the point is, he's from England. His parents are from Kenya.
