It’s one of the few developed places, along with South Africa, that’s easier for them to get visas. While there maybe some escorting most are legitimate sponsorship opportunities. The Emirates sponsor African athletes in soccer, bodybuilding and boxing.
Many stay on as trainers, bouncers and security guards. Quite a few guys some mentioned in this thread now live in Dubai full time. It really nice to see guys you started following in poverty in Africa get to Dubai and glow up.
