Allen Leech Bulge

I heard a rumor that Allen Leech is more interested in the footmen, then in the ladies.

Wishful thinking. Part of the reason for the bulge is that the actors are not permitted to wear 21st Century underwear, so there's lots "flopping" about.

The season of Downton currently airing in the States has already been shown in UK and Ireland - rumour has it that ITV will not be commissioning another.

Apparently there will be one more series and then that's it.

I mean, it makes sense...they're not getting older (besides the children) for some reason...I was beginning to think that this show is based on an immortal family living their lives through the decades or that they were drinking their tea with the water from the fountain of youth.

The story has barely covered 10 years so far. The characters have certainly matured, if not aged... It started in April 1913, with the news of the Titanic sinking, and now it is 1922, (I'm pretty sure)... So, I don't see NOT aging as a big deal... Although if Maggie Smith passes on, the show would feel like nothing without her "Violet Crawley" character.

Rumors are that it will end with her funeral, and another wedding, (perhaps Tom's!), but that it was never intended to go into the 1930's.

Whatever, it's been a fun soap opera, and gorgeous to watch.

I thought this was a nice illustration of the "Irish curse" -- all potatoes and little sausage. And so, good casting!

This "Irish curse" thing is not known outside of the United States. As an Irish-born guy I really can't fathom it's origin, nor why people on LPSG believe in its existence, despite plenty of evidence to the contrary:

- Liam Neeson
- Michael Fassbender
- Colin Farrell
- Jamie Dornan

All Irish, and all discussed regularly on LPSG for being hung. Come to thing of it, NEVER have I been in a real-world discussion about this "curse".

Allen Leech has a visible bulge because it's a period drama and the actors are not allowed to wear modern underwear on set. Simples.

I've only recently heard of the "irish curse" and I lived in New York my whole life...but I'm only 22 so I don't know if that matters lol

so i watched this episode last night and Sir that is no mole hill..it was very much there and quite funny. I think these actors do it as a dare or practical joke cause certainly they much know they are showing

Maybe this should be a different thread, but just how many of the Downton men have gone shirtless?
