And, not trying to get too philosophical on this site but the "cycle" here is him trying unsuccessfully to come into terms with reality. He usually yaps about wanting a committed relationship but at the same time admits to being emotionally unavailable/ other self-deprecating stuff which honestly at times feel a bit smarmy. Posting thirst traps and other provocative tweets are just some of many ways people express the need to be loved. After a while shame/ anxiety sets in, and the attempts are cleared only for said need to rise again. It might be spineless and frustrating to data hoarders like me but it's understandable.
