His career is skyrocketing, actually, but he is making this transition from network and basic cable TV to movies and prestige HBO mini-series (he is one of the leads in the upcoming WWI series Masters of the Air), but the thing is that all those network and basic cable shows film quickly and then are released quickly, while films and premium series, especially films from dictors like Tarantino and Baz Luahrmann, film over a long period of time and then take plenty of time in post-production, right?
So when somebody makes that transistion, there is an initial downtime from the audience's POV. That is what we're seeing now (exacerbated by the pandemic).
