clearly he's talking about a past relationship, but because he's always saying vague shit and not really giving a time frame for events, people draw their own conclusions and assume it's current. it was the same thing when he was vague talking about an ex stalking him. everyone assumed it was the most recent ex, because he didn't make it obvious it was someone else
