I feel like his whole (very marketable) image, too, is all about maintaining a cute, young, twinkish aesthetic. He's definitely going to be doing everything he can to hold onto that since if he started actually looking his age as he gets older, he'd go from cute to... kinda creepy. Painting flowers on your face like you did when you were in your teens isn't nearly as adorable if you look like you're in your mid-twenties and have body hair and stubble.
