Teenager charged with robbery and possession of bladed article after robbing pensioner at knifepoint
Blackpool Police - On Wednesday 14th July 2021 around 11am Blackpool Neighbourhood TaskForce were on patrol and were flagged down by a 72-year-old gentleman on Springfield Road, Blackpool who stated he had been Robbed. The suspect, a 19-year-old male, threatened the victim with a knife (pictured) and demanded his rucksack, which was then promptly snatched from him and the suspect left the scene on his bicycle. Officers have conducted an area search and located the male who matched the description on Cocker Street, he was stopped and searched and found to still be in possession of the knife, a balaclava, and the victims belongings. As a result, he was arrested and taken to custody for the offences of Robbery and possession of a bladed article. #bintheknife | Facebook
