Back when my frenum piercing was i think 10 or 8 gauge, I had a ring that went around just behind the head and the piercing jewelry went through that ring to hold it in place.
I think it was called a frenum ring and it had three balls on the top side.
My wife really liked it but once I aged up I never had another one made.

Another vote for Primal Rings. The 55 was the right size per their sizing guide, but after I was comfortable with it, I then got a 50 for when I want to be 110% hard. I’ve gone all day with one or both (except for sleeping). The heft is very nice, especially when commando, and the shape is very comfortable, but since they lift the balls up tight, the cock can look a bit shorter. They now have a silicone style, as well.

I've been using a cock ring somewhat regularly in the last 12-18 months. I find that without, I simply don't get as hard as I once did (I'll be 70yo next year). There are cock/ball rings that look cool as hell. I have multiple styles and materials, but to be honest, when I wear a cock ring for sex, I use my most simple one of all - a 1/2" wide, adjustable leather one. Wider rings take up shaft space and interfere with my wife when she is stroking or sucking me off. Big metal rings get in the way as well. I didn't know that was possible. Good to know.
Size choosing in very important, especially if you choose a metal ring. When fully erected, it's impossible to remove the cock ring. As @Jon1971 told you, start with silicone rings to find your optimized size.
For glansring use, you should have a glans with a well pronounced corona and get full hard on when fucking deep a tight asshole.
