Ages ago I lived in Manc and a guy I met in a club showed me spots under the bridges crossing Canal st. Police knew about them and kept driving past and sounding the siren!

At the end of Canal Street as if you were heading to Piccadilly station there is a path down to the canal and along under the road. There is always action in the tunnel.
