Onlyfans and the like killed it around 2019, and now even Onlyfans videos are boring and passionless.
Anyway as I've been looking back on the different eras of Gay Porn I was wondering what you other perverts thought about it?

For ME personally, I think the 2010's had the best porn. For a few reasons. Most of the studios and websites were pumping out material daily so there was a lot of variety. The industry fully embraced bareback porn which made for better scenes in my opinion. There was more diversity - white guys, black guys, asian guys, latin guys... also bigger guys, skinny guys, shorter guys, etc. There was kind of a place for everybody.

Next for me would be the 2000's. That's when I came into "manhood" lol but also when Internet was getting faster. Alot of the scenes I have from this era are hot just for the nostalgia. Not as diverse - this was really a segregated time. Less so than the 90's and 80's but still, not much integration on the sites.

I actually dig the 80's era more than the 90's era. For me, the 90's was too focused on MUSCLE. So it was a lot of good looking men with big muscles who couldn't fuck. Or they were more concerned about how they looked that they were really disconnected from the actual sex. The 80's kind of had the same problem, BUT i feel like in those early days it wasn't so much focused on just getting guys with big muscles... they were getting pretty much any dude that was willing to fuck and get fucked on camera. More actual sluts that actually ENJOYED the sex. The film quality and direction and editing SUCKED in this era, but you can find more passion in some of these scenes than most scenes from the 90's.

And yeah, the 2020's... It's really hard to gauge because so many of the Studio stars moved over to Onlyfans and now guys that have never graced a studio set are bigger than actual studio paid porn stars. It's a weird transition period in Gay Porn but honestly I hate where it's going. At first it was fun to watch Onlyfans because you felt like you were a fly on the wall. That the people in the video were actually into each other and having a passionate sessions. As things progressed it became more about "i'll fuck whoever has the most followers". And I'm noticing less diversity in the OF arena as well. It went from being passionate to a business which is boring.

2010-2019 I'd say was the golden era, where tech met model and creativity. As you said OF has its upside and its great for models at first. If you miss studio porn, then the best thing that people can do is support the ones you like. Lots of OF models revenue dies out after the first few months and want to do studio porn, but the studios need to be supported to ensure it can still happen. There is a reason many of your favorite sites updates are not what they were. Hopefully the rebound happens and we get many studios pushing the content forward and interesting again!

I don't think Chichi was a positive influence on gay porn, but generally agree on this. Also in Europe there was peak Kristen Bjorn and Lucas Kazan with really erotic and almost art-house film. The concept of porn MOVIE has ended. As you mentioned there was more creativity, actual plots and it was the peak of actual porn STARS, with great bodies, albeit maybe lacking in diversity, and an actual industry to support the fans. Bareback is great but the hotness, the passion and the imagination of that gay porn film era is superior.

Also special mention for the 80s. Wild times, really cool aesthetics, no internet, just lots of fucking and experimentations with movies and scenes.
