I assume they at least tell them the latter as I remember early on last season Kyle would tell the cameras when he was changing that they'd need to switch cameras or else they'd see his dick (which was notable since this was super early last season when Kyle was very notably not swearing yet and was using words like "sugar" and "fudge" instead so hearing him say "dick" was a shock at the time).
