Measured similarly, bone pressed and reclining, I could see Gomez measuring 10”

This guy was just under 8” nbp, and close to 8.5” bp, as best as we can tell. There is never really a clear shot with both ends of the ruler showing the full length. Definitely a decent reference, but not too accurate or precise

All this is moot though, because your premise, that Gomez APPEARS to be 2” longer, is baseless conjecture

Julio Gomez is around 5'10 because he is slightly taller than the 5'9 Alexa Grace. Which means Gomez is average height. but of course Gomez isn't 14 inches. He is around 9 inches.
