Time has nothing to do with bladder size and everything to do with hydration level and kidney output.

The real question should be what is the largest amount of urine that you have voided at one time?

Having had to track this for urological reasons (peeing into a large "measuring cup"), I can tell you that 10oz is common for me, 14oz not unusual, and the maximum amount that I ever measured was a bit over 20oz.

I appreciate what you're saying. However, I'm more interested in holding times. If you haven't voted yet in the poll, I'd be grateful for your vote.

I find the older I get the less time I can hold it

Seriously... Shouldn't this be by age groups?! 64 here. Have the bladder of a hamster. :p
Well different people's holding abilities can vary with age, sometimes decreasing but sometimes increasing too. I've never been anywhere near the top of the range unfortunately, but I've found that as I've got older my holding abilities have got better rather than worse.

I’ve always been able to hold my pee for hours. I can’t quite as well since I’ve got older but it’s still not uncommon to go 10-12 hours at a time between
That's very impressive. So really you're only weeing 2-3 times a day? I wish I could do that.

As I've gotten "older" (in quotes, as I'm only in my late 20's) I can hold both more and less depending on the situation and environment. If I'm at home, I can go for five or six hours without going to the restroom. If I'm at the office, where I'm usually going to the pantry to drink water to pass the time, I'm usually going every hour or two. On long car trips or transit trips, I almost never ask to stop for a restroom break.

I think that social anxiety also plays a big role in my using the restroom, as when I'm out at events with friends or new people, I'm going every hour to every two hours pretty consistently.

As far as I know, I've always been like this. It's gotten slightly better as I'm taking SSRI's that help with my anxiety.

Thanks I think context can play a part. Although I can't claim to have suffered from social anxiety as such, I have occasionally experienced difficulty passing water easily in crowded public toilets. One thing that does affect me in a big way, or has done when we've had them is cold mornings. They really make me want to wee badly and frequently. Some years ago a wiser person than I explained the "science reason" for that, but I can't honestly remember what it is.

Yeah the better question is bladder capacity. Even someone with a small bladder won’t need to pee for several hours if they are dehydrated.

I actually find people who can hold in a ton of piss a huge turn on, and often try to push my own capacity (safely) every so often. My record is about 47oz or 1.4 liters!

That is a lot. My maximum measured output is about 700ml and my typical average is around 400ml. Was that in response to drinking a lot or holding it in for a long time?

There are websites where a man's ability to hold his piss is admired and envied, and some have said that it's a "manly" trait second only to penis size. ;-) For some, the erotic sensations from a full bladder are stronger than any discomfort, and pissing out a huge amount can be enormously satisfying. 1.4 liters puts you in the highest category, and there are relatively few videos that document that amount or larger.

My bladder is tiny, I’m like an old man.

Old men do not have tiny bladders.

Many of them, however, have difficulty completely emptying their bladder - typically due to prostate enlargement which reduces flow.

Bladder holds 16 ozs, they only manage to void a few ounces at a time, so the bladder quickly refills.

Exactly, Guys here who are not experiencing it should enjoy the strong flow while it lasts. They may reach middle age and find they have little to no flow anymore. Having an overwheming need to pee and only producing a tiny amount becomes too often the norm.

Sorry, never meant to offend.
