Brenton Thwaites

He looks fine with a dad bod but when you’re under contract for a role and don’t commit you can certainly be fired by the studio and jeopardize future roles. Obviously with only one season left, the studio didn’t force the issue and decided to throw some Spanx on him and said we can’t shoot him shirtless. Sad that they’re ending the season that way as he is quite beautiful and should show more skin as a superhero.

Mamoa went thru the same scrutiny with Aquaman as he was a bit soft before filming - but he got in shape quickly as he knew he would be shirtless.

I don't like this trend of Hollywood getting lax and turning a blind eye when superhero actors don't get in shape, even if their roles clearly demand it. Robert Pattinson as Batman and Tenoch Huerta as Namor were ridiculous.

I think how Tenoch looked as Namor was perfect  And I was okay with how Rob looked as Batman. I don’t need superheroes to be hyper-buff all the time. In shape, sure, but nothing crazy.

I dunno, Tenoch looked so flabby, like you could almost see those rolls. And Pattinson was in shape for like, a regular person, but definitely not for playing one of the most ripped superheroes who need to be in peak condition by necessity.

I will say that the Director did want Pattinson to get in shape for Batman. So he trained for "three months". It was enough to not draw too much attention when he went shirtless. It was definitely not the typical Batman look that was established by Christian Bale or Ben Affleck, or any of the video games. I think maybe he was leaning more toward the Michael Keaton version of it? Who was criticized for being too skinny for Batman. Pattinson's height helps though, so he still looks good.

But overall. Hollywood is definitely getting somewhat lax in terms of being in shape for these movies. If the person is already the draw of the TV show/or movie. They really can't do much. I think that was the case with Brenton as well. He was probably told, but what can they do? They would have to fire him and replace him with someone else. A big headache.

It takes a lot of time to train to stay superhero buff for an entire season of tv shooting. I think once they told Brenton “Titans” wasn’t renewed, he just said wtf and let it go. Oh well, maybe he’ll get another role that kicks his delicious ass into gear :yum

Tenoch looked amazing, as did Brenton and Robert in their respective roles. People will literally cry and winge because an actor didn't dehydrate their bodies enough to their liking smdh.
Oh, please. They get paid millions to get in shape with the best personal trainers and nutritionists that Hollywood can buy just and stand in front of a green screen and deliver corny one-liners. The least they can do is put in the effort and look good while doing so.
