Cant Pull Foreskin Back Its Quite Tight

Balanitis is something different to a tight foreskin though. Balanitis is when the glans is inflamed, usually from mild infection or irritant.

Phimosis is the medical condition of having a tight foreskin.

+1 for circumcision. Very effective against tight foreskin, greatly reduces the risk of balanitis, solves your problems quickly and for good. It’s a tried and tested solution and has minimal side effects if done by a trained professional.

Yeh, kids need to know that if they ain't circumcised then they need to roll the skin back daily. Should,d be part of the daily routine and even encouraged when they get first erections.
This!!! Yes yes yes, super important

There are ways of loosening the skin, but they don't always work, and sometimes the problem comes back.

It looks like you have a lot of spare foreskin and quite a large helmet, so that may be part of the problem. Also a short frenulum, which can make it difficult to pull back. So I'd make +2 for circumcision!

A 'full' circumcision may not be necessary.
What ever you do make sure that you get the best medical advice, maybe getting more than one opinion.

I'm also having problems with a tight foreskin. The skin get extremely dry and it become sore. I'm not afraid of surgery itself but recovery. Any one has any experience? I have my physical in a coup,e of weeks and this is the main issue to mention.

As has already been said, the tight foreskin itself is called Phimosis. As you live in the UK, here is the UK NHS's article on it: Tight foreskin (phimosis and paraphimosis)

So, according to that, you don't need to do anything unless it is causing repeated balanitis or balanoposthitis, i.e. inflammation, though obviously you might want to do something about it if you find it painful during sex.

It can often be resolved with steroid cream and stretching. Here in the UK circumcision is usually considered a last resort.

I'm about to be 29 in a few weeks. All my life I've been to scared to pull back my foreskin. I've gotten close to pulling it back all the way but I freak out.
Get it circumcised after that no need to be scared anymore

trouble at moment pulling foreskin back was going to go to doctors about it i looked on internet about it its called balantis or something
having trouble with pulling your foreskin back of varying difficulty is called phimosis; balanitis is inflammation of the head which is most commonly a result of infection or irritation.
there is a fair chance that with regular stretching exercises (look those up) and appropriate hygiene (look that up too if you need, use a mild soap or just water) the balanitis will not reoccur and if it does it would not be a regular occurrence. even in the event which stretching exercises are ineffective there are prescription creams which can assist in curing the phimosis and as a result the balanitis.

in best practice, circumcision is often the last resort before all other methods have been attempted.

as some of the other guys have said, yes you can get circumcised to solve the issue but don't think that it is your only option; the way which some of the other comments have made it out to be is neglectful and to take the advice of any of these comments (including my own) as medical advice is not something I would recommend, we all have our bias and very few on here are medical professionals nor have the knowledge to provide a comprehensive opinion.

my anecdote: I had phimosis in my early teens and did stretching exercises to the point where you likely wouldn't tell I had it and it no longer causes any issues (see my photos for reference). It was not very difficult at all, my older brother also had phimosis and he fixed it the same as I, neither of us ever having to step foot into a doctors clinic.

to get circumcised before trying something as simple as stretching/creams and practicing good hygiene as some of the other guys above have mentioned is like amputating a limb due to a boil; especially if you are unsure how long this balanitis will bother you. (pardon me for sounding like a raging intactivist lol)

all in all it is your choice to decide whether you want to get cut and obviously consider all factors such as aesthetics, culture, hygiene, performance and personal preference before making a full decision. do some further research from reliable sources and take the advice you read on here with a grain of salt.

I had phimosis all my life. In my 40s I began to get recurring infections, quite painful sores, no amount of washing would help. At that stage my urologist said there was no real choice and I was circumcised when I was 50.
coincidently my father was also circumcised at 50 years of age for the same reason.

I’m uncircumcised. I retract my foreskin fine.

So my issue, is my cock head is incredibly sensitive bordering on painful. I try to work with it, but there’s times where air hurts. Any touch or rubbing directly on my cock head results in burning pain. touching my cock with or over the foreskin is the only way to not illicit searing pain.

this isnt normal no?

my understanding is that my glans should be a pleasure to titillate, like everyone else’, right? As it stands, sexual contact is painful and miserable

Is there something wrong with me or is there something I should have been doing that my parents and healthcare providers have neglected to tell?
