He's definitely not Jewish, nor is the name. If I had to guess, I'd say he has some, probably distant Lebanese Christian heritage.
There's a photo of him somewhere in this thread from his college days with a massive cross around his neck. He definitely grew up Christian. Lots of Lebanese Christians, which seems to be, along with Syria, the country most closely associated with that name blah blah who cares. He's not Jewish is my point, and having a "Middle Eastern name" doesn't make someone stereotypically whatever people think that is.
His father's family were Armenian Turks. Their anglicized name would be Nassebian/Nassibian, which means "descendant of he Nasseb family". The family immigrated to the US around the time of WWI and they dropped the "-ian" suffix.

Even more of that today. (Edit: I see I missed the caption in my screenshot; it's a new gig, though likely not full time or anything.) Does this mean his NFL career is likely over? They just had the draft, right? So wouldn't he know if he was picked up? I'm kind of a stereotypical gay when it comes to not knowing much about sports. I'm better than I used to be though!

He is a giant! He’s doing some good work. As for football, he didn’t sign a contract until August last year so he has plenty of time. Mandatory NFL training camps don’t happen till June or July. He did well enough with the Bucs to probably be back on the team but with Brady retiring and Baker becoming the QB, I think he’s going to wait and see what else is out there. He turned 30 this year and I’m sure he wants to be on a team that’s gonna be a Super Bowl contender.
