not a thing. red cross site says only a few states request you wait 3 months to donate if you've gotten a tattoo, and it's because those states don't regulate tattoo facilities. carson doesn't live in any of those states, so as long as he went to a state regulated place that sterilizes tattoos and doesn't reuse ink, he can donate blood pretty much right after getting the tattoo.
the health issues regarding tattoos are mostly skin related, and aside from the possibility of being allergic to the inks, the other health risks are more due to things like unsterilized needles.
i dislike tattoos and don't like when guys ruin their bodies by covering themselves in them, but let's not just make scientific claims that don't have much ground to stand on
