He crashed his motorcycle a little less than a year ago and was in the hospital with some fairly serious injuries. More recent pictures usually have him in sunglasses and with a scar below his navel.

No, but earlier in the thread it's speculated that it may have been injured and therefore causing light sensitivity, hence the sunglasses. Eyes take a long time to heal if there's been a "deep" injury.

He’s not helping himself, really. From the things he’s posted, I gather that he’s not not supposed to be hitting the gym while he recovers, but he doesn’t want to lose those gains. I think that’s part of why he ended up back in the hospital.
