It's clinically proven that engagement in social media creates the same effect of positive personal interaction, but without the long-lasting connections. Lonely people will create false narratives that help them fill that gap, such as parasocial connections with celebs that help to bond them to other fans or at least give them the internal sense of a connection to that celeb.
Now, that doesn't mean that everyone that says they met a person that happens to have some fame and had a connection is a liar, but on LPSG it is less likely. If you have a personal relationship with someone, you are less likely to go on the internet and treat them like a piece of meat or encourage others to do so. I, for example, do have some minor internet personalities that I know personally through years of interaction that I do not come on LPSG to gossip about or lust over, but Jonthan Bailey, for example, I know nothing about other than he is gay, hot as, and I want to marry him (I don't even care if he's a tool, as long as I get to play with his.)
The person you are all doubting may actually have met Chandler and formed a bond, and Chandler may be aware of, or even reciprocate this bond. Them coming here to talk about it may simply be due to Chandler being (presumed as - has he come out?) straight, so they cannot act upon their desire to do unbiblical things to him, and they need to express it.
I don't believe everything I read online, but I also don't dismiss it because I am constantly surprised to find things that seem unreal are, and things that seem totally believable aren't.
