Hunnam’s most recent project was Rebel Moon - Part One: A Child of Fire, with the actor playing Kai in Zack Snyder’s sci-fi epic. The Netflix film saw Hunnam adopt a Northern Irish accent, with the star explaining the decision in a subsequent interview.
I'm a little self-conscious to make a big move and do an accent,” he told The Hook. “My favourite accent, which I've been looking for an opportunity to use, it's the Belfast accent. I worked really hard with a really fantastic dialect coach for, I probably must say, the first time in my career.
“I absolutely nailed the accent - I think it was perfect - but the American audience couldn't really understand a word I was saying. So then we had to ADR it and pull it back a bit. So listen, I justified it [by saying] that we're several thousand years in the future so maybe it's like the space version of the original accent.”

Replay time and time again in slow mo....you might want to find a copy of the original (ie British) version of Queer As Folk- there's a scene early on where Charlie gets rimmed
