It’s coining therapy. It’s very popular in Southeast Asia. I believe it’s originated in China. It’s a body healing method when you feel sick. You have someone done it to you instead of taking modern medicine. In Cambodia, it’s very common.

Here in Malaysia, it is called kuasa. They rub your skin with the side of a horn or a smooth flat wood. If your body has a lot of ‘air chi’, marks will show and the massage is to push out the air out of your system. Correct me if I’m wrong.
