Chris hemsworth

Charlie Cox, Tom Holland, Anthony Mackie, Simu Liu, Ryan Reynolds, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Kit Harington, Richard Madden, Barry Keoghan, Tenoch Huerta, Jonathan Majors, Will Poulter, Oscar Isaac, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Josh Segarra, Jon Bernthal, etc... Plus, whoever they cast for the X-Men and Fantastic Four. I think they have a little something for everybody.

Ngl, I'm really not feeling most of the names on that list. And if the F4 casting rumors turn out to be true, then things are going to get even worse.

It’s all about Johnny Storm anyway.

But Matt Smith as Reed… yeah that’s a pass for me. To each their own, though.
It's gonna be a real tough challenge to fill Chris Evans' shoes as Johnny. And extra tough if they're seriously considering people like Paul Mescal.

But also, going from Iain Gruffudd to Matt Smith...boy, talk about a downgrade.

I mean it's comic books, every artist will draw the characters completely differently. That's the reason they have specific costumes, coloring, hairstyles, etc... I think for the most part, Reed isn't buff. He has muscles as pretty much all comic book male characters do, but definitely shouldn't be muscular. I believe the last two images are multiverse versions of Reed which means there are going to be various depictions of the character to simply tell them apart on the page.

IMO, they've already done the lanky, awkward thing twice in the movies, so this time in the MCU they should go back to his roots as a muscley DILF explorer/scientist based on the Buck Rogers-type pulp heroes, just to stand apart from previous adaptations.

He wasn't a muscley DILF type in the early FF books either. Kirby drew all of the Fantastic Four as relatively realistic people, not idealized superhero physiques.
Eh, he was very much a muscley DILF early on, for the art standards of the time:

He was based on the Flash Gordon, Buck Rogers types, so that element was kinda always there from the beginning.

That's from Fantastic Four #197, a full 17 years after the comic began. Yes, other artists have drawn Reed with the comics-typical quarterback physique from time to time, but I'd say the most iconic runs (Lee/Kirby, Thomas/Buscema, Wein/Perez, John Byrne) depicted him more as a slender academic.

If anything, he was originally based on those scientists from 1950s monster movies, not the Pulp space opera heroes.

BTW, anyone know if there are shirtless pics of him from around that era :emoji_point_up:when he was super, super swole?

Y’all know there’s wars and famine and shit going on right? Kids going to bed hungry. Raping and pillaging.

There are so much worse things in the world right now than whether not an attractive man who makes mediocre (at best) movies flies commercial or private. Damn at the end of the day bitches gotta get places. Not everyone has weeks to spend at sea Greta Thunberging it.
And what? Are you gonna solve those problems or what,
